Intravenous fluid prescribing errors in children: critical incident dataset

This dataset contains 41 reported critical incidents related to intravenous fluid prescribing in children in Northern Ireland. It is a subset of a larger dataset of reported medication incidents occurring in Northern Ireland paediatric secondary care between 2011 and 2015. These data were obtained with full NHS Ethics and Trust Governance approval. Data were fully anonymised prior to being made available to the research team. As data contain narrative information about patients and hospital staff, we have not openly published the dataset; access to data is available on request.
