Food packaging transparency preferences

EcoBioCAP aim was to provide the EU food industry with customizable, ecoefficient, biodegradable packaging solutions with direct benefits both for the environment and EU consumers in terms of food quality and safety. In this framework, a survey has been conducted in France with 235 consumers who expressed their preferences about food packaging functionalities. In this dataset, we present the survey results in which participants had to express their preferences and associated justification about transparency (transparent, translucent, opaque) of the packaging. Expert opinions are presented in file Expert knowledge_final. They have been used to confront justifications associated with individual preferences expressed in the consumer survey. Attacked justifications are also identified in this file.
