Replication Package: Eastern Mediterranean Naval Power Competition
收藏资源简介:
This replication package provides the data, code, figures, and methodological notes for the article “Eastern Mediterranean Naval Power Competition: Turkey, the Israel-Greece-GCA Line, and Strategic Threshold-Raising.” The package supports a small-N comparative analysis of naval power in the Eastern Mediterranean, focusing on Turkey, Israel, Greece, and the Greek Cypriot Administration. It includes actor-level naval power indicators, bloc comparison scores, coordination-cost sensitivity checks, and figures used in the article. The dataset distinguishes between Turkey’s single-actor naval superiority and the cost-raising bloc pressure generated by the Israel-Greece-GCA line. Future-oriented capabilities such as MILDEN and NUKDEN are discussed as qualitative indicators of strategic threshold-raising, but they are not treated as current operational inventory. Copyrighted source publications, including IISS Military Balance volumes, are not included in this package. Instead, the package provides derived control tables, source notes, and methodological explanations for transparency and reproducibility.
