Robot-Centric Dataset (RoCS) was developed by the Institute of Intelligent Collaborative Systems, School of Computer Science, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, along with other institutions. This dataset encompasses physical and functional attribute data for 110 household items. It was collected using a variety of sensors and robotic platforms, including RGB-D sensors, robotic arms, and kitchen scales. The dataset construction process involves extracting key physical and functional attributes, including shape, size, hardness, etc., from raw sensor data. The primary goal of RoCS is to equip robots with conceptual knowledge grounded in the physical and functional properties of objects, thereby supporting tool use and decision-making in uncertain environments, including practical applications such as tool substitution.
