Innovation Capability and Change Readiness for Sustainable Family Business Performance

This dataset contains the research data supporting the study entitled “Innovation Capability and Change Readiness for Sustainable Family Business Performance.” The dataset was developed to support research transparency, reproducibility, and further investigation into the factors influencing sustainable performance among family businesses in the Indonesian furniture industry. The study examines the relationships between Innovation Capability, Corporate Sustainable Longevity, Change Readiness, and Firm Performance using a quantitative research approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The data were collected from 103 valid respondents representing second-generation and later family businesses operating in the furniture industry on Java Island, Indonesia. The dataset includes measurement items representing the research constructs, including Innovation Capability (FIC), Corporate Sustainable Longevity (CSL) consisting of Customer Orientation, Financial Strength, Learning and Growth, Strategic Perspective, and Sustainable Production dimensions, Change Readiness (CRS), and Firm Performance (FPE) covering financial and non-financial performance indicators. All variables were measured using a five-point Likert scale. This dataset is provided as supplementary material to facilitate validation, replication, and future research related to innovation management, family business sustainability, organizational change readiness, and performance improvement in emerging economies. Researchers and practitioners may utilize this dataset to explore organizational capabilities and strategic mechanisms that contribute to long-term family business resilience.
