This dataset contains transcriptomic data from mouse lung tissues to study the protective effects of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (honeysuckle) against acute lung injury (ALI). We investigated how four key compounds from this plant - protocatechuic acid, loganin, cynaroside, and isochlorogenic acid C - alleviate lung damage by inhibiting a cell death process called ferroptosis. RNA sequencing was performed on samples from mice with LPS-induced ALI treated with these compounds. The data reveals gene expression changes and key targets involved in the ferroptosis and inflammation pathways, providing a molecular basis for the traditional use of this herb in treating respiratory conditions.
