Consequence assessment and behavioral patterns of inhibition in decision-making (v1)

This dataset contains data from 28 participants (15 males, 13 females; age range 18-30 years; all right hand dominant), who participated in a consequential decision-making task. All participants were neurologically healthy, had normal or corrected to normal vision. The consequential decision-making task was, designed to assess the role of consequence on decision-making while promoting prefrontal inhibitory control. Since consequence depends on a predictive evaluation of future contexts, we designed a task in which trials were grouped together into episodes (groups of one, two or three consecutive trials), establishing the horizon of consequence for the decision-making problem within that block of trials. The shared data are formatted as MAT-5 files (MATLAB 2021), each file containing the behavioral metrics of a single participant such as reaction time, performance, and error trials, as well as the details of the task for each trial. This dataset can be reused to reproduce the results presented in [Cecchini et al., (2023)](https://doi.org/10.1101/2023.02.14.528595), as well as further analysis on the study of consequence assessment.
