In the winter half-year 2020/2021, winter cover crops were grown in 10 trial variants at the Hohenschulen trial site. The soils at the trial site are mainly stagnic Luvisols derived from glacial till. The variants were arranged in a randomized block design with four replications. In spring 2021, naize was planted on the site, and the soil of all plots was sampled in different depths. pH values, grain size distribution, air and water conductivity, dry bulk density, and water retention functions were determined on the collected soil samples.
