Whole-genome resequencing of parental lines and F2 extreme bulks for wrinkled and smooth rind traits in melon (Cucumis melo)

The rind texture is a key fruit quality trait in melon breeding. By comparing genomic variations between parental lines and applying Bulk Segregant Analysis (BSA) to the extreme phenotype bulks, this study aims to identify candidate genes and genetic markers associated with rind wrinkling. Data will facilitate marker-assisted selection for melon rind texture improvement.
