Neural representations of emotional working memory in athletes

This repository contains data and code accompanying the manuscript “Neural representations of emotional working memory in athletes.” The study compares athletes and non-athletes across two emotional working memory experiments using behavioral measures, EEG time–frequency analysis, and representational similarity analysis (RSA).The deposit includes behavioral trial data with participant names removed from filenames, processed data tables, time–frequency features and group-average matrices, and MATLAB scripts for task presentation, behavioral analysis, EEG preprocessing, time–frequency analysis, and RSA. Both the public-facing RSA implementation and the original author version are included. Supporting documentation describes data fields, file organization, candidate links between datasets and manuscript figures, and known reproducibility requirements.The behavioral archive retains all available records; the final analysis samples depend on the inclusion and exclusion criteria described in the manuscript. Raw EEG recordings, large participant-level intermediate files, participant identity mappings, and third-party stimulus images are not included. Reproducing the complete analysis requires the relevant input data, software dependencies, and study-specific configuration.
