Molecular definition of high grade B cell lymphoma: a centroblast-like group with potential for more effective therapy

A retrospective analysis of whole transcriptome data for 928 DLBCL patients from REMoDLB clinical trial, identifies a subgroup of molecular high grade (MHG) class that present centroblast-like gene expression, enriched for MYC rearrangement, double-hit (MYC rearrangement accompanied with BCL2 and/or BCL6 rearrangement) and associated with adverse clinical outcome. Gene expression profiling was carried out for RNA extracted from Formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) biopsies of 928 diagnosed DLBCL using the Illumina Whole-Genome DASL HT version 4 array.
