Matlab script and MORB datasets

All spatial analyses were performed using a custom MATLAB script that: (i) imports MORB datasets from Excel files, (ii) allows selection of geochemical groups and hotspot locations, (iii) computes great-circle distances using the Haversine formula,(iv) classifies samples based on a user-defined radius of plume influence, and (v) exports augmented datasets including a binary plume-influence indicator. The script is allows user-defined parameter testing (e.g., hotspot selection and influence radius). The MATLAB script runs with Mid-Atlantic Ridge MORB data from Supplementary Data 2 (position_MORB.xls).
