Commentary on the videos for the paper “An Efficient Pipeline Architecture for 3D Facial Imaging with Spatio-Temporal Stereo Matching”.These videos show the performance of our proposed hardware architecture in the real-time acquisition of large-pose continuous 3D facial expressions, as well as 6 typical 3D facial micro-expressions. It should be noted that, to clearly present the changes in micro-expressions, the amplitude of the micro-expressions captured in Video 2 has been slightly exaggerated. 1. Video 1.wmvIt presents large-pose continuous 3D facial expressions, including leaning forward, leaning backward, and rotating, acquired in real time by the developed 3D facial sensing system. This is a video of the experiment result used to evaluate the system's capability to capture the significant rigid and non-rigid changes in real-time.The video size is 9.57 MB. 2. Video 2.wmvIt demonstrates six typical 3D facial micro-expressions, including happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, disgust, and fear, captured in real-time by the developed 3D sensing system.
