Global dataset for realized thermal and aridity niche limits for terrestrial vertebrates

The files are in a spreadsheet format, with Month_Limits.csv containing lower and upper thermal tolerance limits for birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians for each month, and Yearly_Average_Limits.csv containing the averaged lower and upper thermal limit over all months for each species. Monthly_Limits.csv file contains 12 rows for each species, one for each month of the year. Column MonthNumber contains monthly numeric code and MonthName contains the three letter abbreviation. Both Month_Limits.csv and Yearly_Average_Limits.csv contain columns TMin and TMax, which contain the lower and upper thermal tolerance limit value, and AMin and AMax which contain the lower and upper aridity tolerance limit value.Due to the frequency of species synonyms the file Synonym_List.csv provides a comma-separated values (CSV) file with two columns: “Synonym” which lists species binomials known to be synonyms of accepted species binomials, and "IUCN_Binomial" which contains species binomials used by the IUCN Red List to cross compare with synonymous binomials.
