The High Economic Cost of Biological Invasions in China

ICDOC — the Invasion Cost Database of China. This dataset underlies Li et al. (2025) "The high economic cost of biological invasions in China", Journal of Environmental Management 389: 126224. The database follows the InvaCost 4.1 template (66 descriptors, identical column order; Diagne et al. 2020). Of the 767 entries, 604 were newly compiled from Chinese-language sources and 163 originate from InvaCost 4.1. Potentially overlapping entries are flagged in the Overlap field (rather than deleted), so that users can filter them according to their analytical needs; confirmed duplicates and superseded aggregate entries were removed during compilation. Note on the InvaCost-derived entries: during compilation we refined a subset of these entries (species identifications, cost typology, sector assignments and four cost values) where re-examination of the primary sources supported a revision.
