Wuxia Character Adaptation Fan Translation Data Collection:The Legend of the Condor Heroes

This dataset is a collection of character dialogues extracted from Jin Yong’s classic wuxia novel The Legend of the Condor Heroes (射雕英雄传) and its English fan translations. The dataset comprises the original Chinese texts and their corresponding English translations. It aims to support the analysis of character adaptations across cultural and linguistic boundaries, particularly within the context of participatory fan translation.The dataset was created between January 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024 by Mengyuan Zhou.
