Access to α‑Alkynyl-α-fluoroacetamides via Deacylative Alkynylation of α‑Fluoro-β-ketoamides with Alkynyliodonium Salts

A simple and efficient method for
the synthesis of α-alkynyl-α-fluoroacetamides
has been developed via alkynylation of α-fluoro-β-ketoamides
using alkynyliodonium salts. Through a base-mediated alkynylation/deacylation
cascade, this strategy offers direct access to fluorinated alkynylacetamides,
a valuable class of compounds that remain synthetically challenging
to prepare using conventional methods. The transformation demonstrates
broad functional group tolerance, and the synthetic utility of these
compounds was further demonstrated through their conversion into a
diverse array of other key synthetic frameworks.
