SPI images providing photographic profiles of the upper layers of seabed
sediments (to c. 30 cm depth) at sampling sites in the North Sea and English
Channel, used to measure the depth of the aRPD (apparent Redox Potential
Discontinuity) layer, a colour change in the sediment profile which
approximates the depth to which oxygen penetrates the sediment.
本数据集包含北海及英吉利海峡采样点的海底沉积物上层（约30厘米深度）的摄影图像，用以测量表观氧化还原电位不连续层（aRPD）的深度，该层在沉积物剖面中的颜色变化近似于氧气穿透沉积物的深度。
