SWOT-Derived Water Level Time Series from Virtual Hydrological Stations

This dataset contains water level time series and associated auxiliary information for virtual hydrological stations (VHSs) established from the SWOT (Surface Water and Ocean Topography) satellite mission in the upper Yangtze River Basin. The VHS network was automatically generated by exploiting the exact repeat-orbit characteristics of SWOT and the prior river network from the SWORD (SWOT River Database). The dataset provides temporally continuous river water level observations and station metadata, supporting applications in river water-level monitoring, flood and drought assessment, and long-term monitoring of inland surface water dynamics.
