Environmental Regeneration, Revegetation and Weed Control in Muswellbrook Shire

There are two main components to the on-ground work in this project. One is a weed control project in a riparian area, the other is a native tree planting project for the purposes of creating connectivity across the landscape for the migration of wildlife. The immediate objectives are to: 1. improve the quality of riparian habitat on the Hunter River areas as indicated on the project map. Best practice weed control will be undertaken. 2. vegetate areas void of vegetation in line with adjacent and remnant ecosystem types. The long term objective is to contribute to habitat connectivity across Muswellbrook Shire for the protection and migration of wildlife, including threatened and endangered species of the upper Hunter Valley.
