Spatio-temporal population genomics of the German cockroach, Blattella germanica: a human dispersed pest of the urban environment

Samples were collected from 4 apartment complexes that are designated as HUD housing in Baltimore, MD (N=1), Richmond, VA (N=1) and Hopewell, VA (N=2) in April 2023 to identify spatial patterns of population genetic structure. To identify temporal patterns of populations structure, after pesticide application of the units, samples were collected from the Baltimore and Richmond complexes in December 2023. Genomic DNA was sequenced to identify SNPs that contribute to population genetic structure.
