Pulpitis is a prevalent oral condition characterized by severe pain, often accompanied by symptoms such as sleep disturbances, gastrointestinal disorders, and anxiety disorders. The treatment of pulpitis-related pain is complicated by the non-specific, dependent, and addictive properties of currently available analgesics, presenting a significant clinical challenge. In our study, we employed transcriptomics to conduct a bioinformatic screening of the trigeminal ganglion (TG) and the medial dorsal horn (MDH) following seven days of pulp exposure. In conclusion, our study elucidates the potential regulatory mechanisms and molecular target datasets associated with pulpitis pain in the TG and MDH, thereby providing an essential reference for the exploration of precise analgesic targets that exhibit low dependence, low addiction potential, and anti-anxiety effects.
