Mass concentration of BC(black carbon) measurment by COSMOS and MAAP at the Fukue Island in Japan

Long-term (since 2009) observations of atmospheric black carbon (BC) mass concentrations were performed using a continuous soot-monitoring system (COSMOS) and a Multi-Angle Absorption Photometer (MAAP) at Fukue Island, western Japan. We aim to evaluate atmospheric chemical transport models and chemistry-climate models used for IPCC assessment reports and to provide information on wet removal rate constraints and the emission strengths of important source regions in East Asia (China and others).
