资源简介:
Photograph of a line of 5 dancing braves in the Hopi Snake Dance Ceremony and a huge crowd of onlookers, Oraibi, Arizona, ca.1900. Each of the men carries a live snake. One of them has the head of a snake in his mouth. They have long hair. They wear armbands and necklaces. Their upper torsos are naked. They wear short patterned skirts and moccasins. They are moving in front of a group of about 4 chanters[?] who wear long furry animal tails. Numerous onlookers are spectating from atop the pueblo in the background as well as on the ground. One of them shades herself with black umbrella.
