Row-count validation runs immediately after upload so a corrupted or mismatched file is caught before any analysis proceeds. Visualisation choices follow Munzner's effectiveness ranking of visual channels (position and length first, then angle/area, colour reserved for categorical identity with a small number of hues), and avoid channels known to be low-effectiveness for quantitative comparison (3-D, unordered colour for ordered data, area-only encodings for precise reading).
