The Cognitive Fingerprint of Human Learning vs. AI Mediation

This repository contains the master de-identified quantitative dataset derived from archival ESL academic essays collected during the Fall 2024 semester.This dataset serves as the statistical foundation for multiple peer-reviewed publications evaluating the linguistic differences between authentic human cognition (Zone of Proximal Development) and Generative AI mediation (Zone of Artificial Performance).The data was extracted using professional-grade computational linguistics software (Text Inspector). Researchers and peer reviewers can use this numerical data to replicate the full suite of statistical models presented across the associated manuscripts.
