SEDOS Model Structure

We have developed an open-source model structure that integrates key future technologies relevant to Germany’s energy transition across electricity, heat, conversion processes, transport, and industry. This comprehensive framework supports a sector-coupled energy system outlook extending to the year 2070. The uploaded "SEDOS_model-structure_data" file outlines the structural foundation of our proposed dataset, which has been successfully implemented for selected processes (see "SEDOS_process-set_models") in three optimization models defined within the different frameworks: oemof, FINE, and TIMES. By “model structure,” we refer to the definition of energy-related processes and their interconnections, represented through input and output vectors.
