Circulating miR-1246 and miR-485-3p as potential biomarkers of response to targeted therapy in melanoma patients

In the present investigation, we used next generation sequencing (NGS) for profiling plasma cf-miRNAs at baseline and at progression in melanoma patients treated with BRAFi monotherapy or the combination of BRAFi+MEKi to identify cf-miRNA associated with response to therapy. Selected cf-miRNAs were then subjected to validation by qRT-PCR and investigated for their potential value as biomarkers predictive of patients clinical outcomes.
