Data produced using a think-aloud protocol, in which female participants were asked to complete two Instagram browsing tasks while thinking aloud their thoughts and feelings in relation to the content observed. The first task asked participants to browse their own feed for 5-minutes. The second task asked participants to browse a set of 20 pre-defined fitspiration posts.
