Fertilizer consumption refers to the application of nutrients in terms of nitrogen (N), phosphate (P2O5), and potash (K2O) consumed in agriculture by a country. All figures are given in Metric Tons (MT) of plant nutrients (K2O total nutrients)). Production P = (– M) + X + NF + C; Production = less Imports + Exports + Non fertilizer use + Consumption When the data of a country are all available then P = the country actual production; M = actual imports, X = actual exports, C =actual consumption and NF = actual non fertilizer use.
