资源简介:
The overarching aim of this project is set to estimate the prevalence and determine the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics including but not limited to the clonal relatedness, genetic diversity, virulence factors and resistance mechanisms of circulating methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and extended spectrum beta-lactamase producing Enterobacteriaceae (ESBL-PE) in pigs and occupationally exposed humans in Cameroon and South Africa; this in order to improve knowledge about risks factors associated with the emergence and spread of MRSA and ESBL-PE as well as their zoonotic transmission in the food chain
