This dataset documents the major- and trace-element characteristics of experimental products generated from high-pressure melting experiments on the CM2 chondrite MCY 12002. The data were produced to investigate the differentiation behaviour of volatile-rich carbonaceous chondrite material and to constrain the formation of sulphide-, metal-, and silicate-rich melts under controlled redox and thermal conditions. The dataset includes (i) electron microprobe (EMPA) major-element compositions of olivine, low- and high-Ca pyroxene, quenched silicate melt, spinel, FeNi metal and S-rich phase; (ii) LA-ICP-MS trace-element maps and spot analyses of olivine phenocrysts and silicate melt pools; and (iii) mass-balance models constraining melt-silicates relationships. Together, these data provide a comprehensive geochemical characterisation of the run products and allow reproducibility of the petrological interpretations.
