A cross-sectional survey of higher education students across four European countries – Finland, the Netherlands, Montenegro, and Slovakia that captures students’ use of information sources and tools, verification behaviors, self-rated proficiency in information credibility assessment and disinformation detection, AI familiarity, and metacognitive abilities relevant to systematic checking, such as goal setting, evaluating one’s methods, tool awareness, and willingness to adopt new tools.
