资源简介:
This study investigates the power usage patterns and consumption trends during the month of October in the Politehnica University of Bucharest dormitory (P7). Understanding energy usage patterns is crucial for implementing effective energy management strategies and promoting sustainable practices within educational institutions. The data for this study was collected from P7, a dormitory facility housing a diverse group of students. Hourly power consumption readings were recorded using smart meters installed throughout the dormitory. The collected data was analyzed to identify usage patterns, peak hours, and potential areas for energy optimization. The results revealed distinct patterns in power consumption within the dormitory during October. The analysis indicated higher energy usage during evening hours, corresponding to peak activity periods, as well as significant energy consumption during weekends. These findings emphasize the importance of energy management practices, particularly during these high-demand periods, to optimize resource allocation and reduce energy waste.Furthermore, the study identified specific areas within the dormitory where energy-saving measures could be implemented. These included encouraging energy-conscious behavior among residents, enhancing insulation, promoting the use of energy-efficient appliances, and raising awareness about sustainable practices. Implementing these measures can not only reduce the ecological footprint of the dormitory but also lead to cost savings for both the institution and its residents.Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the October power usage patterns of the Politehnica University of Bucharest dormitory (P7). The findings can serve as a basis for developing targeted energy management strategies, fostering sustainability initiatives, and promoting a culture of energy efficiency among dormitory residents. By optimizing power usage and adopting sustainable practices, educational institutions can play a pivotal role in mitigating climate change and contributing to a greener future.
