Background and Aims: Pneumonia remains a major public health burden in Southeast Asia, with the COVID-19 pandemic further impacting not only healthcare but also medical education and research in the region. The objective of this study is to assess the performance and trends of research on pneumonia (including COVID-19) in Southeast Asia during the pandemic period.Methods: Articles related to pneumonia, including COVID-19, were retrieved from Scopus for the period 2019 to 2025 using predefined MeSH terms for pneumonia. Data from Scopus was then exported to SciVal for citation and collaboration analysis, while bibliometric analysis was performed with the R-Bibliometrix package and VOSviewer. The eligibility criteria included studies discussing medical aspects of pneumonia, publication types limited to original articles and reviews, and studies originating from the SEA countries.
