Inform Plus Concept Note

In the 30th SPREP meeting held in September this year, the meeting supported the scaling up of environment data management in the Pacific and directed the Secretariat to initiate a process for developing a full-sized project proposal to support the scaling up environmental data management work in the region.

Later in October,  the Inform Project participating countries collectively agree on the need to scale up and extend the Inform Project services beyond 2022.

SPREP is now seeking country support to continue the success and momentum of the Inform Project towards a proposed phase 2 of the project, the Inform Plus Project. This scaled up phase will expand the user base and fill significant gaps including in situ monitoring, increased partnerships between the environment ministries and other sectors, increase use of spatial tools, and work to the establish environmental standards for key resources. This project will also support advocacy for the use of environmental information and knowledge

在本年度九月举行的第30届太平洋地区环境规划论坛（SPREP）会议上，与会各方支持扩大太平洋地区的环境数据管理规模，并指导秘书处启动一项全面项目提案的制定流程，以支持该区域环境数据管理工作的扩大实施。

随后在十月，参与Inform项目的各国共同同意扩大并延续Inform项目服务至2022年之后。

目前，SPREP正在寻求各国支持，以延续Inform项目的成功势头和动力，推动项目进入拟议的第二阶段——Inform Plus项目。这一扩大规模的阶段将扩大用户群体，填补包括现场监测、环境部门与其他行业之间加强伙伴关系、增加空间工具的使用，以及建立关键资源的环保标准等重大空白。该项目还将支持倡导使用环境信息和知识。
