The purpose of the present invention is to further improve the balance between the water dispersibility and the surface barrier properties of a water-dispersible sheet provided with， to at least one surface thereof， a filling layer made of methyl cellulose. The purpose is achieved by a water-dispersible sheet having a filling layer made of methyl cellulose on at least one surface of a water-dispersible base material， wherein the water-dispersible base material contains fibrous carboxymethyl cellulose and papermaking fibers having a Canadian standard freeness of 500-750 ml CSF， the fibrous carboxyalkyl cellulose is alkalized， and the viscosity of a 2% solution of the methyl cellulose at 20°C measured by a Brookfield viscometer is 20-30 cps. The purpose of the present invention is to further improve the balance between the water dispersibility and the surface barrier properties of a water-dispersible sheet provided with， to at least one surface thereof， a filling layer made of methyl cellulose. The purpose is achieved by a water-dispersible sheet having a filling layer made of methyl cellulose on at least one surface of a water-dispersible base material， wherein the water-dispersible base material contains fibrous carboxymethyl cellulose and papermaking fibers having a Canadian standard freeness of 500-750 ml CSF， the fibrous carboxyalkyl cellulose is alkalized， and the viscosity of a 2% solution of the methyl cellulose at 20°C measured by a Brookfield viscometer is 20-30 cps.
