Freedom of Information Requests - 2013

The Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) gives individuals the right to ask for access to municipal government information. The Act also protects the privacy of individual's personal information and gives them the right to request their own personal information that may exist in government records. This data set consists of all formal Freedom of Information requests made to the Region of Waterloo under MFIPPA. Identifying information such as names and addresses have been removed from the data to protect personal identification. A notification such as {name removed} has been indicated where information was removed.《市政信息自由与隐私保护法》（Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act，MFIPPA）赋予公民请求获取市政政府信息的权利。该法案同时保障公民个人信息隐私，并赋予公民申请查询其本人留存于政府档案中的个人信息的权利。本数据集涵盖了所有依据MFIPPA向滑铁卢地区提交的正式信息自由申请相关数据。为保护个人身份安全，数据中已移除姓名、住址等可识别个人身份的信息；对于已移除的信息，会以{姓名已移除}这类形式进行标注。
