Arsenic removal from groundwater for long-term domestic use

This study examines arsenic removal filters in a tandem configuration, consisting of three filters: a MnO2-modified activated carbon (AC) filter (F1), a granulated nano-titanium oxide (TiO2) filter (F2), and an activated carbon (AC) filter (F3). These filters were deployed in a rural household located in the Yinchuan Plain and were supplied by a communal well with elevated arsenic levels for 28 months. Samples for microbial community characterization were collected from all three filters.
