This template has been designed to be used by UK higher education institutions to record and monitor their article processing charge (APC) payments. It can be used for both internal reporting, and external reporting to RCUK and the Charity Open Access Fund (COAF) for compliance monitoring.

It is recommended that institutions archive the spreadsheets that they release in an online research repository, such as figshare or their own institutional repository. Institutions outside of the UK are welcome to make use of the template as well.
