The dataset, "Raw Data_Factors Influencing Mental Health Among Chinese Obese Female College Students", was collected from 484 female university students across various institutions in China between March to May 2025. The data was gathered using an online survey tool, and after excluding invalid responses, a total of 484 valid questionnaires were analyzed. The study aimed to investigate how physical activity influences the mental health of obese female college students, specifically focusing on subjective well-being, depression, flow experience, and intrinsic motivation. Flow experience was explored as a mediating variable, and intrinsic motivation was examined as a moderating factor. The dataset contains self-reported data on physical activity levels, mental health outcomes, flow experiences, and intrinsic motivation. This dataset provides essential insights into the relationship between physical activity and mental health in obese female college students and offers valuable information for the development of health interventions targeting this group. It serves as a resource for understanding the psychological and behavioral mechanisms underlying mental health outcomes in obese female college students, with an emphasis on the roles of flow experience and intrinsic motivation.
