RNA-seq of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense race 4 causing Fusarium wilt of banana under treatment with salicylic acid.

To investigate the response of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense race 4 (Foc4) to the phytohormone salicylic acid (SA), both the wild-type strain B2 and a foisc gene deletion mutant were cultured separately on PDA plates containing 5 mM SA for four days. The mycelia and conidia were then harvested, and total RNA was extracted for RNA-seq analysis to study changes in Foc4 transcriptome.
