资源简介:
Gasping respiration is a terminal pattern that occurs after anoxia effort in response to severe hypoxia, and has been known to increase the chances of survival in patients with cardiac arrest. During severe hypoxia, increased activity of upper airway muscles would be essential for self-resuscitation in association with gasping respiration. Previously, we reported that high concentration of sevoflurane, one of the volatile anesthetics, causes a gasping-like respiration pattern in mice. Herein, to extend understanding of the molecular mechanism involving the gasping respiration, we performed a comprehensive analysis of the changes in hypothalamic transcripts of sevoflurane-induced gasping mice. Overall design: mRNA profiles of hypothalamic tissues were generated by RNA sequencing using the NextSeq 500 (Illumina).
