This archive provides ice-sheet configurations, scripts for figures, and main output files used as part of the publication “Uncertain ground: Impact of bed topography on Antarctic Ice Sheet projections”, by J. Caillet, H. Seroussi and S. Nowicki, and published in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A, doi:10.1098/rsta.2024-0543, 2026. The Scripts_and_Figures repository contains all figures in PDF format and all Python scripts used to plot the figures. All files are named according to the numeration of the figures in the manuscript. Please note that the netCDF files used in the scripts are available in the Results_files directory. The Simulations_ISSM repository contains files required to rerun simulations: Run directory contains the runme files used to launch simulations. The runme files are grouped by spatial scale (continental, regional, glacier). To re-run a simulation, the user needs to adapt the runme file before step 1. This involves adapting the script to the server, changing the loadonly to 0, changing the basin and basinname names to the specific case studied, and then executing all the steps. Basin refers to the name of the region studied (all available names are commented in the runme). To find out about the basinname option, the user can refer to name in step 3. Boundary directory contains contours for all the simulations but also the boundary condition files for regional configurations. Parameters directory contains parameter files used to define the main parameters relative to the specific simulation. The Results_files repository contains the main outputs in netCDF format (except the results relative to the inversion and mesh size sensitivity experiments). For the continental configuration, post-processed CSV files of sub-ice shelf melting and surface mass balance are also available. Files are generally named according to the following standard: Res_REGION_CASE_SSP.nc with: REGION referring to the first three letters of the region or glacier studied, CASE referring to the Bed. MIN for Bed_min, MAX for Bed_max and nothing for Bed_standard. SSP referring to the modeled scenario. 126 for the SSP1-2.6 scenario and 585 for the SSP5-8.5 scenario. External data: The study relies on the ice flow model ISSM (version v4.24) available at https://github.com/ISSMteam/ISSM. ISMIP6 climate forcing and parameters for calibrated melt parameterization are available at https://theghub.org/dataset-listing and atmospheric climatology at https://zenodo.org/records/7760491. Other datasets used for the inversion are available at https://nsidc.org/data/nsidc-0709/versions/2, https://datadryad.org/dataset/doi:10.7280/D10D4Z for surface velocity and at https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.734145 for geothermal flux. Finally, bed topography from BedMachine-Antarctic v4 can be reach at https://nsidc.org/data/nsidc-0756/versions/4.
