Data and code for: Preparation history can outweigh descriptor definition in frictionless bidisperse packings below jamming
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the particle configurations, the preparation and analysis code, the FFT homogenization solver and the verification scripts that support the article "Preparation history can outweigh descriptor definition in frictionless bidisperse packings below jamming". Periodic packings of frictionless bidisperse spheres at size ratios 4, 6 and 8 and crowding 0.60 to 0.70 of maximum packing are prepared by two numerical routes at identical size ratio, fine fraction, solid fraction and particle number: growth-prepared packings, and shake-equilibrated packings obtained from them by shake-relax cycles at fixed density. The package holds the cached configurations (NumPy .npz files), the raw gap-threshold scans, the connectivity and contact-scale descriptors, the grouped cross-validation of the history coordinate, the linear-elastic FFT homogenization results, and a script (code/verify_manuscript_numbers.py) that recomputes the numbers quoted in the article and reports a pass or fail for each check. The reproduction guide README_reproduce.txt lists the requirements (Python 3.10 or later with NumPy and SciPy; Matplotlib and Pillow for the figures). New in version 2.0: the folder revision_2026-09/ adds 26 configurations (the 300- and 400-cycle continuations of the thirteen shake-equilibrated states at size ratio 4) and scripts for the threshold sensitivity of both preparation families, the bootstrap bound on the sensitivity ratio at size ratio 8, two protocol-free descriptors, contact-scale pair statistics at size ratio 4 and cross-validation with training-only references, together with regenerated figures. The source image of Fig. 10a is not included.
