This study examined the chemical compositions and the anaerobic degradability of the hydrothermal liquefaction wastewater (HTLWW) of rice straw biomass. To verify the stability of degradability and to analyze changes in microbial community structure, two semi continuous reaction were also conducted with PE aqueous (PE-HTLWW) and raw aqueous (R-WW). Methane production differences were explained by using GC-MS, HPLC, FTIR and LC-MS technologies. Besides, high-through sequencing of full-length 16S rRNA genes was used to reveal the microbial communities responsible for the degradations in HTLWW. PE extraction of HTLWW did not have obvious effects on the microbial community richness.
