资源简介:
DOCTORATE DISSERTATION: Soil erosion and its stepchild, stream sedimentation, are two of the major problems of Northern California's wildlands. This study represents a quantitative evaluation of the problem. It attmepts to index the agents that are contributing to the erosion, and to predict by means of equations the results of various combinations of these factors, and to point out where especially dangerous combinations have occured, or are likely to occur in the future. In this study an attempt will be made to evaluate the effect upon sedimentation of differences in basin physiography, climate, soil erodibility, and land use condition.
