We performed full genome sequencing of A. macleodii isolates and metagenomic sequencing of fosmids clones also belonging to this species. In total, we compared four genomes of isolates and 177 metagenomic fosmids that amount to another two genome equivalents. The results indicate that a natural A. macleodii population is polyclonal and are consistent with a constant-diversity pattern of genomic diversity in the populations of this microbe.
