PROBLEMS OF FIGHTING INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM AND THE ROLE OF UZBEKISTAN

Over the past 26 years, international terrorism has become one of the most important factors threatening global security. The cross-border activities of terrorist networks, their very precise and effective use of modern information technologies, and their ability and skill in hiding financial sources make the fight against this scourge, terrorism, much more complicated. This article provides an in-depth analysis of the main problems in the fight against terrorism, including the return of foreign fighters to their homeland, online propaganda and ideological extremism. The article specifically examines the role of Uzbekistan in the fight against terrorism on a global and regional scale. It discusses preventive measures, the significant role of ideological resistance work and international cooperation, and shows Uzbekistan's successful experience in this area. The article provides statistical data on Uzbekistan and Central Asia, and presents the dynamics of terrorist acts and the effectiveness of the fight against them in tables. I can also say that over the past 25 years, you can see that there have been no major terrorist attacks on the territory of Uzbekistan, deradicalization programs are yielding positive results, and the significant importance of joint activities being carried out within the framework of international cooperation is noted.
