资源简介:
The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory / National Center for Earthquake Engineering Research (LDEO/NCEER) Earthquake Strong Motion Database contains a variety of strong motion earthquake recordings from the joint LDEO/NCEER/USGS strong motion digital accelerograph network as well as other sources including: National Geophysical Data Center, U.S. Geological Survey, Canadian Geological Survey, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other agencies. The database is accessible via the World Wide Web at: http://www.ldgo.columbia.edu/nceer/nceer.html The database is also accessible through the STRONGMO program which may be accessed via: ftp, telnet, modem, and rlogin. An online manual (ftp://ldeo.columbia.edu:/nceer/strongmo.txt) is available. This manual describes the following ways to connect to the database: Modem: The phone number to gain access to Lamont is (914) 365-8196 or 365-8191. The parameters that must be set in order for the connection to work are as follows: Baud Rate: 2400 Parity: none Data Bits: 8 Stop Bits: 1 Duplex: full at LDGO> prompt, type: c duke at login: prompt, type: strongmo at password: prompt, type: nceer Telnet: Telnet to: duke.ldgo.columbia.edu (129.236.10.50) at login: prompt, type: strongmo at password: prompt, type: nceer The user will be connected to a database which allows the user to query the database on a variety of search criteria. General parameters include: event phenomena, record parameters, site parameters and trace parameters. Searchable fields for each seismic event include: year, month, day, hour/min, number, name, country, state, latitude, longitude, depth, location of source, magnitudes, moment data, mechinism data, and further comments. Online documentation is available, including the following description of the STRONGMO program and the NCEER Strong Motion Data Base: STRONGMO..., is part of the NCEER Strong Ground Motion Facility's effort to develop a data base in which strong ground motion data is retrievable over a telecommunications line or a computer network. The tool is still in its experimental stages, so be wary. Presently the user has the capability to interogate the NCEER Strong Motion Data Base and then retrieve selected strong motion data (both parametric and time-series) via kermit, a communications program developed at Columbia University. The tool also provides the user with the ability to: contact staff at Lamont via electronic mail; find out the latest status of the NCEER/Lamont Digital Strong-Motion Network; and retrieve raw data retrieved from the Network. The Data Base consists of a comprehensive collection of earthquake, strong motion record, time-series, and recording site parameters. The data itself comes from two different sources; 20 digitally recording accelerographs operated by Lamont and NCEER and over 50 magnetic tapes that were purchased from several strong motion data archiving agencies, including: the National Geophysical Data Center in Boulder, Colorado; Calif. Div. of Mines and Geology; and the United States Geological Survey in Menlo Park, California.
